What is the Revolutionary Technical Collective?
The Revolutionary Technical Collective is a discussion and publishing group focused around utilizing technical knowledge in service of revolutionary communist agitation and propaganda. It was formed in reaction to a school of thought widespread within informatics, which elevates those who are technically literate to the level of “thought leaders”, be they defenders of the current bourgeois political establishment, or of “freedom” in the abstract. This kind of thinking, particularly prominent within the petty-bourgeoisie and labor aristocracy, reinforces the social division of labor, which communists have always fought against.
Our goals are the following:
- Utilizing technical-scientific knowledge to the benefit of the communist movement.
- Mounting an expressive section of communists with technical inclinations.
- Promoting technical literacy in the revolutionary sphere.
